Project Description:

All DASRI treatment companies have several storage problems which leads to an increase in fines. Currently 1600 tons of hospital waste are collected per year and only 9000 tons will be treated by authorized companies. Indeed, the demand for the creation of companies treating this type of waste has become a major need. It is in this context that the project to set up a treatment unit for infectious risk healthcare activities in Fahes is part of to collect waste from Greater Tunis (the governorates of Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous, and Manouba) and Sahel (Sousse, Monastir and Mahdia). This feasibility study is being prepared for the company VALIS, which would like to specialize in the treatment of infectious healthcare waste (DASRI) with the aim of determining whether the project would be profitable, whether it is technically feasible, or whether the company has the resources (financial, skills, etc.) to implement it.
