Project Description:
This project is part of the Gunela Revit project, implemented by Madinaty Network (a Madinaty association network based in Menzel Bourguiba) in partnership with the Municipality of Tinja and ATSE (Tunisian Association for Health and the Environment), and co-funded by the EU under the « Eco-Pact – Integrated Program for the Decontamination of the Lake Bizerte Region » program.
The project, which is taking place in the Gungla region of the Tinja delegation, has the overall objective of « the environmental and economic revaluation of Gungla Beach in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. »
More specifically, the project has the following objectives:
SO1: Encourage environmental awareness among students, teachers, parents, local residents, and fishermen in the Gungla region
SO2: Limit pollution of Gungla Beach
SO3: Establish good, participatory, and inclusive environmental governance
This mission falls within the framework of SO1, whose planned activities are:
Train a teaching team of 15 teachers in environmental concepts and facilitate educational games
Create fun environmental educational modules and materials
